Principals' Message

Welcome to a brand-new school year at Deer Lakes Middle School!

On behalf of the entire faculty and staff, we are so excited to welcome our students, families, and community back for what promises to be an extraordinary 2026–2027 school year.

This year, our building theme is "Living the Aloha Life." While Aloha is commonly used as a greeting, it also represents a powerful mindset centered on kindness, respect, harmony, and community. Throughout the year, we will be encouraging our students to embrace these values—showing empathy to their peers, striving for excellence in the classroom, and creating a warm, supportive atmosphere where everyone feels like they belong.

Important Back-to-School Logistics

To help your family prepare for a smooth transition, please keep the following key details and daily times in mind:

  • First Day of School: Thursday, August 20th

  • Locker Bell: 7:35 AM (Students may head to their lockers at this time)

  • Tardy Bell: 7:45 AM

  • School Day Ends: 2:35 PM

Morning Drop-Off Details

  • Late Arrivals: If your child arrives after 7:45 AM, please drop them off at the front entrance of the building so they can sign in properly at the main office.

We can’t wait to see our hallways filled with energetic faces and positive attitudes as we embark on this exciting journey together. Let’s make it a fantastic year filled with growth, learning, and plenty of the Aloha spirit!

Warmly,

Dr. Abate & Dr. LaMantia
