Deer Lakes Middle School students recently celebrated during a PBIS Reward Day, which they earned by hitting more than 800 combined referrals for positive behavior more than a week before their Oct. 31 deadline!

The PBIS Reward Day included a Costume Contest for each grade, an Inflatable Costume Race, Minute-to-Win-it Games and more fun activities!

PBIS is Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports programming. PBIS is an evidence-based, tiered framework for supporting students’ behavioral, academic, social, emotional, and mental health. In addition to team building outdoor and indoor activities, our staff and principals also reviewed PBIS expectations.
