Stand Together students recognized at event

Congratulations to our Middle School and High School Stand Together students who attended a Stand Together event at the Heinz History Center!
Deer Lakes was chosen to present first to an audience of about 200 students and staff members from other schools.
Senior Josh Runas, junior Luca Mangieri and freshman Kelsey Dineff represented the high school, and seventh grade students Stella Mangieri and Emily Brockway represented the Middle School. More than Deer Lakes 30 students attended the event.
Deer Lakes' representatives shared with the audience activities they have recently held during school.
These activities are created collaboratively throughout the school year to engage and educate peers about mental health and substance abuse and encourage peers to communicate with an adult they trust when they are concerned about their own or someone else’s behavioral health.
