"I can't wait to do this in high school!"

That was one of the many reactions our 8th grade students had to A.W. Beattie's Road Show, which visited the Middle School to give students a small taste of the programs they may take beginning in 10th grade.

A.W. Beattie is an extension of Deer Lakes School District and focuses on college and career readiness. Students who attend A.W. Beattie can get a head start on a career or utilize the many college credit agreements Beattie has with colleges and universities like Robert Morris University, La Roche University, Waynesburg University, CCAC, PTC, Carlow University, Duquesne University, and many others.

A.W. Beattie has 18 programs. We would like to thank Beattie staff and students from the Automotive Collision Technology, Health and Nursing Sciences, HVAC, Sports Medicine and Veterinary Sciences programs for joining us and giving our students a small taste of the hands-on experiences that they may take advantage of in a few years.
