Students, staff earn PAMLE awards

Congratulations to the following students and staff who earned awards through the Pennsylvania Association for Middle Level Education!
Elliana Crame and Cassie Majernik were nominated by Mrs. Fink and awarded the Joan Jarrett Student Award. To be eligible, students should demonstrate leadership abilities, good citizenship, and should have made positive contributions to their school and community.
Second-year teacher Ms. Erb was nominated by Dr. Abate and awarded the PAMLE Promising Practitioner Award. This award is presented to teachers who are just beginning their middle level teaching careers. These beginning teachers have made a positive impact on both their school and community early in their career and incorporated effective middle level practices in their everyday teaching.
Mr. Roth earned the Learning to Teach and Teaching to Learn Award, which recognizes outstanding student teachers or interns who demonstrate commitment to middle level teaching as well as an awareness of young adolescent development. Dr. Abate nominated Mr. Roth.
