Students, staff collaborate in shaving Dr. LaMantia's head for PBIS

Dr. LaMantia traded in his long locks for a clean(ish) shave!
Middle School students and staff took turns Friday shaving Dr. LaMantia's shoulder-length hair, which he has been growing out for more than a year.
Students donated $1 to the schools PBIS activity fund for each ticket, which were drawn at random. Several students had a chance to shave Dr. LaMantia's had at this first PBIS assembly in the gymnasium
PBIS is Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports programming. PBIS is an evidence-based, tiered framework for supporting students’ behavioral, academic, social, emotional, and mental health. In addition to team building outdoor and indoor activities, our staff and principals also review PBIS expectations with students. PBIS reward days are held on several occasions throughout the school year.
Thank you to Dr. LaMantia for thinking of a fun way to engage students while also setting PBIS expectations for the school year!
